In this term, I learned a lot from seeing others' blogs and giving comments to them. At first, I didn't know what should do. But after reading first chapter, I have a flash of light. The first blog I wrote was about Chinese characters, and I really like to use the knowledge and aesthetic angle to do some art project combining with Chinese elements. Recently, I saw an animation made in China, Heaven Official's Blessing, and I really like the art which has traditional Chinese elements. I really want to do some art like this. And I'm major in film, so, if I have chance, I will add some Chinese elements in the video.  Actually, I feel really comfortable to put my work in the public digital landscape. I like to share my opinion to other people, and if someone give comments to me, I really appreciate about that. Also, I saw a lot of excellent blogs and learned a lot from them. For example, in the last blog, I draw a process of uploading to describe the motion in my mind. And

  “Motion is a kind of change, and change takes place in time. Motion can be implied as well as literal, however.” (p. 215)   After I read this chapter, I opened a file. And it showed a process bar. I thought that it is a kind of time and motion. Then, I draw it down and make a process of uploading.  "The brain retains images for a split-second longer than the images are actually before us, resulting in the illusion of movement when numerous images appear in rapid succession. This phenomenon is called 'persistence of vision.'" (p.233) Like each of these pictures, for example, the process from 10% to 20%, we only can draw the 10% and 20%, but between 10% and 20%, we cannot draw each accurate frame. So, this is what I confused before. But after seeing this chapter, I knew why animation can be coherent together.  Implied motion is common in the real picture such as the jumping process.   “Diagrams allow us to see relationships that would not come forward in a straight list of numbers or a verbal description.” (p. 215)   The Diagram usually shown as a chart. And when I think about the chart, something appears in my mind is cubic function, which is the function that can make a heart.  It's interesting for couples to use this to say love, right? I'm also really interested at the chart trends by using maps. It is a really useful and interesting way to draw a website trend. It is true that I prefer to read diagram than a paper of reading. Thinking another way, if that website trends chart was printed by a whole page of reading, do you want to read it? And the baby books were always designed by using beautiful and interesting pictures and colorful words. We can know that It's a good way to attract babies.   “Grids function throughout society.” (p. 187)    Pixel art is interesting. There is a game named "Minecraft" which is made by pixel art. In our lives, we can see a lot of things made by pixels. Like the QR code. And it used the grid to finish a round thing. In my opinion, all living creatures are composed of round things. But we can clearly see the square grid and we also can see the images. That's so funny! Using eyes as an example! We can see the facial expression on Pikachu's face. The right eye was painted by using four little grids and it looks like a round eye. The left eye was painted by using two grids and it looks like a closed eye.
